Though it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that enable UFO to produce complex textures and voice-like sounds, UFO Light shares the same synthesis technology and innovative user interface concept as its big brother. It is therefore a very good way of discovering the benefits of Transmodal Synthesis, and since UFO Light presets are fully compatible with UFO, you can upgrade anytime and take your existing presets to the next level.

TransModal Synthesis relies on K-Osc, an oscillator model capable of smoothly transitioning between different oscillation modes like harmonic, noisy or chaotic, and Morphilter, a filter allowing continuous transitions between modes (low-pass, high-pass,...).For more information, you can have a look at UFO product page: UFO Light works exactly the same way

UFO Light is currently available as a VST plugin for PC (Windows), and will be ported to Mac in the future. You can also run it in standalone mode thanks to SAVIhost (available in the Download section).
