and today i brought you another topic
It's about gifts
but not the ordinary ones
You'll know what I mean once you read the topic
So it's called:

~THE GIFT OF LISTENING~ But, you must REALLY listen. No interrupting, no daydreaming, no planning your response. Just listening.

~THE GIFT OF AFFECTION~ Be generous with appropriate hugs, kisses, pats on the back and handholds. Let these small actions demonstrate the love you have for family and friends.

~THE GIFT OF LAUGHTER~ Clip cartoons. Share articles and funny stories. Your gift will say, "I love to laugh with you."

~THE GIFT OF A WRITTEN NOTE~It can be a simple "Thanks for the help" note, or a full sonnet. A brief, handwritten note may be remembered for a lifetime, and may even change a life.

~THE GIFT OF A COMPLIMENT~ A simple and sincere, "You look great in red," "You did a super job," or "That was a wonderful meal", can make someone's day.

~THE GIFT OF A FAVOR~ Every day, go out of your way to do something kind.

hey maya..thank you for this topic..its lovely to share this thing with us..i think that the gift of listening is the most i have and i cherech it because everyone needs it from time to time when they have alot going on with them and need to let it out to someone..the other gifts we get them but i guess we dont stop that often to think how much they mean to us..so thank you for reminding us of slowing down and apreciating everything we got..

They're great i know but only for the people around you but it's not so great for you , people want you to listen but not to talk unless you pay a compliment ,
and the gift of favor is simply to be a doormat , you can't just give one favor and stop people will expect you to keep on giving for ever

i'm not talking about myself but these thoughts came to my mind when i read the topic

and I think I do have some of them to some degree

the thing that I totally lack is complement
unless it is from the heart and to a love one

As for my self I think I have the gift of listening cause I like to listen to the people who have some problem & I do my best to advise them

And I think I have too the gift of laughter cause I love to laught soooooo much and make the people who I care for laugh too

And I have the gift of love too cause I love my self & my family & my friends so much so I do my best to love them all the time and let them know how much I love them and I really tries to do my best to protect them too

hmmm I 'm really not sure if i'm gifted or not but
I do like to listen to people
but listening with the intent to learn Ireally beleive that it's an approach to a different type of conversation.
