fractions of a heart

piece by piece
i pick them on my way
as i walk on a side of a path
the fractions of my heart
i care not step
on the others not mine
those may be lost
from hearts broken
along time ago
in the end
i try to attach them again
i look at my hand
holding a fragment
of my heart
i try to put it back again
then i keep on my path
i look behind
on the memory of love
a path of blood and pain
i am not sorry
to have given you my heart
i would give it all again
for me love
always worths the pain
i look again i think
i forgot a piece
but i find no more
still i feel something
is missing
is it love calling again?
or just
maybe...
an echo
of a voice
telling me
to remember the pain!
