رحلت كلير إلى ايطاليا بعد ان طلبت منها صديقتها جريس ان تبقى بجانبها اثناء حملها . فكرت كلير ان حياة جديدة في ايطاليا ستكون فرصة رائعة لنسيان ماضيها المؤلم .
لكن ليخفق قلبها من مرأى رجل وسيم متباعد والذي استقبلها في المطار , تحدث رومانو إلى كلير بوقاحة وعاملها كطفلة وادركت كلير انهم لن يتفقوا ابدا معا كما انها واثقة انه لن يختارها ابدا كإمرأته لو علم الحقيقة عنها .
لكن عندما تظهر ندوب ماضيها امام رومانو تتفاجأ من ردة فعله.
