Violet Winspear - Love in a Stranger's Arms http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/image...b8ee0210.L.jpg "I am probably everything you never wanted in a man," Don Cortez said firmly. "But fate plays a role in all our lives and whether you wanted me or not, mi vida, you have me." Arabel was not really shocked by what he had revealed about himself. He had lived and learned and grown rich out of danger. She didn't condemn him for any of that--only for his insistence that she live with him as if she loved him |
Although I'm a huge fan of Violet work, I didn't really fall for this particular novel.
in many of her books, violet make the heroin hate the hero so it wasn't really new or surprising in this book except Arabel- the heroin- didn't have any ANY reason to hate Cortez specially since she doesn't remember him so in the book she seemed mean and cruel and nasty person. and the end wasn't satisfying when Arabel suddenly remember and just as the sudden Cortez family ,who hated her and had been really hurtful all the book, now they accept her. No, I don't think that was one of violet's good books. |
